Process characteristics of chlorinated polyethylene in wire and cable
1. The main chain of chlorinated polyethylene does not contain double bonds, and it is not easy to cut off the main chain in mechanical plastics.
2. CPE has good scorching resistance and can extrude cable products with smooth surface. When the length diameter ratio of extruder screw is less than 12, extrusion is quite difficult. Hot feed extrusion can improve the surface quality of the cable. When the length diameter ratio is greater than 12, both cold extrusion and hot agent can extrude the cable with smooth surface. In terms of extrusion temperature, CPE has better fluidity than Cr and is not easy to plasticize. Therefore, during extrusion, the body temperature is controlled at 75 ℃ ~ 85 ℃; The head temperature should be controlled at 85 ℃ ~ 95 ℃.
3. CPE is suitable for continuous vulcanization of pipeline. In order to ensure the production efficiency, it is necessary to improve the vulcanization temperature. Generally, continuous vulcanization can be carried out under the steam pressure of 1.2-2.0mpa. If the temperature is too low, the amount of vulcanization system is insufficient, or the water cooling section is too short or the water cooling section is anhydrous, bubbles are easily generated. In addition, CPE is a heat sensitive material, and the temperature should be controlled in the extrusion and vulcanization stages. If the temperature is too high, it is easy to produce pores.
